Off duty cop handcuffs and then tortures innocent woman at a bar.

An off duty cop, who is drinking at a bar, gets into an argument with a much younger, attractive woman. He puts the woman in handcuffs, twists her arms, and slams her head into a table.
The cop has been arrested and suspended from work without pay. When Columbia police arrive, they agree that the “arrest” was personal and not due to any criminal offense. The off duty cop, Paul Allen Derrick, is placed under arrest himself and suspended.
According to the police report the woman rejected Derrick’s advances and he became upset and told the woman she had to leave the bar. When she refused, he placed her in handcuffs and starts torturing her by twisting her arms.

    1. There are two sides to every story, so the sages say. Even on-the scene videos can be deceptive...can lie. Having made this fair-minded disclaimer, though, this off-duty cop, Paul Allen Derrick, seems to be clearly out of line in his arrest of a young woman who, so the video says, rejected the sexual advances of the gun-toting cop who, while armed with a deadly weapon in an establishment that serves alcoholic beverages...was getting drunk at the bar. Guns and alcohol don't mix, even if the gun-toter is a cop. In most states, it is illegal for a bar patron consuming alcoholic beverages...whatever his or her status, cop or civilian...to carry a deadly weapon, whether licensed to carry or not. Cops are public servants, after all. Their guns and badges are conferred upon them by the citizenry they putatively serve. Unfortunately, though, there are too many cops in America, once the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave...who perceive themselves to be above the laws that the civilian population hires them to enforce. The attitude of many American cops is, because they enforce the laws they are free to violate them, much like the American Congresss...the "law-makers" who violate their OWN laws on a daily and nightly basis. Even average Americans of low intelligence and information are beginning to perceive that the government that is supposed to serve and protect them is increasingly mis-using and abusing them. Police officers....GOOD police officers...are a vital necessity in any society that would be peaceful and orderly. No nation or society can long endure lawless chaos. But what happens to a society in which the police are allowed to run amok, mis-use their badges for personal, illicit purposes, as in this deplorable case? Good and decent law-enforcement officers are a good thing...a necessity...in a decent and orderly society. Bad cops, though...should be tried in a court of law and, if convicted of abusing the citizens they are pledged to serve...should be executed...without pay...
