Hello, and welcome back to this week’s broadcast of American Dissident Voices, the Internet radio program of North America's foremost racialist organization, the National Alliance. I’m your host and the Chairman of the Alliance, Erich Gliebe.

No one that I know actually believes that what we in the White Racialist Cause are trying to do will be accomplished easily. Only a fool would believe that and, after all, White racialists of one sort or another have been working in the United States for a long time in an effort to enhance the position of the race in the Western Hemisphere. Most of those racialists didn’t base their actions on a more-or-less fully formed ideology like the National Alliance has. But what nearly all of those racialists DID have in common was that they recognized that the social and cultural conditions in the country were NOT ideal for the well-being of the race, and they all wanted more security and more power for Whites in America.

The first American group with a specifically racist platform was the Ku Klux Klan, which grew out of the defeat of the Confederacy at the hands of the Union forces. The first Klan didn’t aim to create a new all-White nation with a government guided by racialist principles, like the National Alliance today aims to create. Instead, the Klan was basically a reactionary movement to the injustices imposed upon the White people of the South during the so-called Reconstruction period following the Civil War. The first Klan was loosely organized and fizzled out after federal legislation that combated the group was passed and enforced.

The Klan was revived following the First World War. It expanded beyond the South, eventually boasting members numbering in the millions at its high point during the mid-1920s. This second Klan stood against communism, internationalism, Zionism – three of the causes of American involvement in the First World War – and, oddly enough, against Catholicism. By the late 1920s, however, the second Klan, too, had faded into obscurity.

Following the valiant but failed attempt by the German National Socialists to free the German people from exploitation by the Jews and the communists, many White-oriented groups sprouted up in the United States. Most of them were unremarkable, having nothing even closely resembling a mature philosophy and led by men who were totally NOT up to the task.

Perhaps George Lincoln Rockwell should get an honorable mention for his attempt to not only promote the rights of Whites here in America via the American Nazi Party and later the National Socialist White People’s Party, but also for his efforts at building an international community of White racialists. That short-lived effort, called by Rockwell the"World Union Of National Socialists," was the first widespread attempt to promote the idea that ALL of us Whites – of whatever country – are in the same boat and are on the same team. Therefore, we should strive together for the common goals of our people, which transcend the present national boundaries. Several notable White racialists – including the British National Socialist Colin Jordan and the learned National Socialist philosopher Savitri Devi – participated in the fledgling World Union of National Socialists and, although it didn’t last, it was a step in the right direction. Today, my organization – the National Alliance – promotes and supports the strengthening of international ties between White racialist organizations all around the world.

After Rockwell’s assassination in August of 1967 by a former member of his group – John Patler – one of Rockwell’s assistants named Dr. William Pierce was moved to start his own organization. That effort began in the early 1970s with the formation of the parent organization that became today’s National Alliance. We in the Alliance have experienced ups and downs, but we have kept going now for almost 40 years, and we have no intention of giving up the struggle for our people’s freedom any time soon.

But my point here is not to give you a complete history of organized racism and racialism in the United States. That job is far too big to handle in a single broadcast of American Dissident Voices and, more importantly, it is a history that does little to inspire us to do what we really need to do, which is to move forward with positive action today. My point in recounting a little of American racialist history was to show that, despite the efforts of many well-meaning Whites over the many decades following the Civil War, we are still NOT within sight of our primary goal, which is a homogeneous White racial state. While it seems our enemies have consolidated their power and our genetic resources are continuing to be rubbed out, our race is getting closer and closer to being pushed past the point of no return. Reaching that point would, of course, mean White racial extinction – a fate we in the National Alliance and in other legitimate racialist organizations are trying to avoid.

All of this only goes to reinforce the truth that none of what we are trying to achieve will be done easily. I personally haven’t met a single person who believes that achieving a White racial state will be painless or, if I have, I immediately tabbed him as either an absolute idiot or certifiably insane, refused to have anything to do with him, and have since completely forgotten about our encounter. So perhaps I should modify my statement and say that I don’t REMEMBER having met a single person who believes that achieving a White racial state will be painless.

Anyway, that leaves just about every White racialist under the sun as falling into one of two categories: the ones who believe that the White race still has a chance to survive and make progress along its evolutionary path, and the ones who continue to work for the Cause but don’t really believe that it can ever succeed. It goes without saying that I am in the former group; I wouldn’t be where I am if I didn’t believe that. I am convinced that it is very possible for our people to create a viable future for themselves, although it is going to take a lot of work on our part during the coming years, obviously.

On the other hand, it is easy to see why some racialists doubt that an ultimate victory is possible. They know the failed history of White racialist organizations in America. They see the power of the anti-White federal government and of the Jewish Establishment that will stop at nothing to destroy our people. And for those and possibly other reasons, they just can’t convince themselves that White victory is ever achievable. Despite their reservations, some of these “doubting Thomases” keep working for the White Racialist Cause despite what seems to them to be the virtual certainty that the whole thing is an exercise in futility. The racialist doubters who DO make a contribution do so NOT out of a sense of hope that victory will eventually be achieved, but instead out of a sense of duty: essentially, doing what they believe to be right, even though they don’t think they can win the fight.

The attitude of the racialist doubters is similar to that of the athlete whose team is down by an impossible margin late in the game. He knows that he can’t win, and yet he couldn’t live with himself if he simply just gave up, so he keeps on fighting to the inevitable end.

As I said earlier, I’m not a doubter. I never HAVE been a doubter, in anything I’ve ever done. When I was a professional boxer, I knew I was at a disadvantage compared to black fighters because they have thicker skulls, denser bones, and a greater percentage of fast-twitch muscle fibers than do White fighters. But I didn’t doubt. I believed I could compete, and not only compete, but win. And I did win.

I take that same attitude in my work with the National Alliance and with the White Racialist Cause. I honestly believe that we can win, and that is what I fight for every single day. But to those of my ideological brethren who persist in their racialist work despite a sense of despair at ultimate victory, let me point out a few things in the hope of dulling the edge on your despair and perhaps giving you even the faintest glimmer of hope. Because I believe that someone with hope works harder, gets more done, and has a better effect on his comrades than does one who despairs.

When I was growing up, the Soviet Union was the world’s “bad guy.” The Soviet system reigned supreme not only in Russia, but also in the so-called “satellite states” of Central and Eastern Europe. It was a system founded on terror and fear. Millions of Soviet citizens paid for real or imagined crimes against the state. The massive work camp system, the Gulag, used up the best energies of many Soviet citizens, either working them to death or causing them so much suffering that they became spiritless, broken shells of men. The few exceptions such as Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, a veteran of the Gulag who lived to author his and others’ experiences in the camps in his work The Gulag Archipelago, only serve to reinforce the rule that the Gulag was an excellent vehicle for stifling the voices and actions of anyone who hated the Soviet system and valued freedom. In the 1970s and 1980s, no one behind the Iron Curtain believed that the Soviet system could fall. It appeared to be unassailable, impregnable. It would last as long as the human species walked the planet. At least that was the thinking throughout the Soviet empire.

And most of us who lived in the West – in the so-called “Free World” – believed the same thing. In the 1980s, I remember seeing bar graphs in the newspaper showing the relative numbers of ICBMs, nuclear submarines, and every other measure of military might possessed by the United States as compared to that possessed by the Soviet Union. And on virtually every count, as I recall, the Soviets had the edge on the West. More firepower, more vehicles, more ships, a bigger army… you name it, the Soviets looked unbeatable, at least on paper. With virtually no exceptions, the entire world was on the same page: the USSR wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

You talk about power: the Soviets had it. Power over their own people. Power over anyone who spoke up in protest. Colossal military power ample enough to destroy anyone – most probably, even the United States, despite the U.S. having a slight edge in terms of technology as compared to the Soviets.

And then, throughout the 1980s, the world watched in shock as the Soviet military foundered in Afghanistan, never able to deal a decisive blow to the Afghan forces. This was the first hint that the Soviet monstrosity might be vulnerable. In the late ‘80s, a few brave voices in the Eastern Bloc countries started to sound the drums of freedom and in 1989, the Berlin Wall fell. It wasn’t long before the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had imploded, Germany was reunited, and Eastern Europe had a measure of freedom.

For those of us in the West, the whole thing seemed to crystallize out of nothing. One day, the Soviet empire was as powerful and ominous as it had ever been, and the next, it had released its grip on tens of millions of people, leaving them free to pick up the pieces of a collapsed system as best they could.

So I say to the doubters out there: Yes, the established System of today seems invincible. It seems like there is no hope for ultimate White victory, no hope for the creation of an all-White racial state with an all-White and principled, racialist government.

But perhaps this System will fall just as unexpectedly as did the Soviet system. Perhaps, just when it seems that it couldn’t squelch the freedom of our people any further, it will stumble and – if not collapse – at least retract its long fingers of power, such that we can gain a foothold on the way to our future goals. Certainly, it seems provident that a system as corrosive as the Soviet one should eventually fall.

And by the same token, who can imagine anything else but that the current System, with its effect of destroying all uniqueness of culture and all genetic diversity, will fall as well?

We can’t MAKE the System collapse. All we can do is to plug along with our program of raising the awareness of our beleaguered kinsmen. All we can do is to hold FREEDOM up as our highest ideal: freedom for the individual man to chart his own course in the world, and freedom for men of each unique race to work in concert to chart the course of the race.

Like the USSR, the System we live under suffers from weaknesses that we don’t even see at the present time. If we stay true to ourselves and our purpose, those weaknesses – and our embracing of freedom – will result in the System’s demise.

It is something to look forward to, and it is nothing to doubt.
